Amy Elbe, CVT, LAT, is the clinical research technician for all non-oncology clinical studies. Amy graduated from Madison College's laboratory animal science program in 1995 and the veterinary technician program in 1996. She spent the first 20 years of her career working in feline medicine in both private practice and shelter medicine. She taught at Madison college for 3 semesters in the veterinary technician program. She started working at UW Veterinary Care in 2017 and worked for 4 years as a neurology technician before moving to clinical studies in 2021. Amy's background in medical research combined with her experience working in various veterinary settings has given her opportunity to see a vast number of patients and clients with different conditions. Amy is very excited to be working with all the doctors in the hospital on a variety of clinical studies because she loves to learn new things and meet new people and their pets. When she is not at work, Amy has cats, chickens, and rabbits plus a large garden. She enjoys all outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
