Research
During his active career at UW-Madison, Dr. DeBoer's research focused on the immunology of chronic skin diseases, including atopic dermatitis and recurrent skin infections. In retirement, he participates in research training of postgraduate trainees.
Responsibilities
As a retired faculty member in Emeritus status, Dr. DeBoer participates in mentoring and training of postgraduate students, external consulting, and lecturing on skin disease to veterinary audiences.
Clinical Interests
Dr. DeBoer's interests center on diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases in dogs and cats; allergic skin disease in dogs and cats; and recurrent bacterial skin infections.
Graduate Training
Depending on the year and on availability of funding, our department operates a clinical training program (internship or residency) that provides specialty training in animal skin diseases.Recent Publications
