Construction Update 2026

Emergency Services, Small Animal Clinic, Large Animal Hospital and diagnostic lab (WVDL)

Note: Linden Drive is closed due to a construction project. Detour routes are marked with signs.

  • Coming from the west: Take Walnut Street northbound (toward the lake) and make a right-hand turn at the Observatory Drive roundabout. Then turn right on Easterday Lane.
  • Coming from the east: Take Observatory Drive westbound and turn left on Easterday Lane.

Oncology

  • From Observatory Drive, turn on Colwood Drive and enter the parking garage (Lot 67).

PARKING

  • Emergency Services: north end of Lot 124
  • Small Animal Clinic: south end of Lot 124
  • Large Animal Clinic: Lot 125
  • Diagnostic lab (WVDL): Lot 4
  • Oncology: Lot 67

Route Details

  • Both the northbound and southbound lanes of Walnut Street are now open.
  • To access the Small and Large Animal hospitals, please use the bridge across Willow Creek, which is open to motor vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic. The bridge can be reached by using Walnut Street to turn onto Linden Drive.
  • The only way to access lots 4, 124, and 125 for UWVC and WVDL is by using the Willow Creek bridge connection. Thru access behind the Veterinary Medicine building is not available.
  • Clients arriving for appointments with Oncology should park in Lot 67 (accessed via Colwood or Linden Drive).
