The UW School of Veterinary Medicine's new state-of-the-art facility expands our patient care capabilities even further. This space now includes a new cancer center, more collaborative learning spaces and labs, leading-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies to equip our team with tools and resources to deliver best-in-class care in our teaching hospital and more than 20 specialty service areas. We doubled the size of our small animal hospital and added a new 14,000 square foot covered arena for enhanced large animal care and isolation. After being rescued from the side of the road with a host of critical health conditions, a local veterinary clinic provided a referral to UW Veterinary Care to give Poppy the best chance for survival. When Katie was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, her owners acted fast to save her life. They brought her to UW Veterinary Care where our world-class team took Katie through a preventative chemotherapy regimen. Today Katie is thriving and enjoying an active life alongside her family. When Fergus was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma, the team at UW Veterinary Care quickly arranged an emergency blood transfusion.
