The compassion and excellence you’ll find at UW Veterinary Care is fueled by our world-class team of veterinarians, technicians, pharmacists, and staff, working together to deliver the best possible care for all animals.
With over 60 senior faculty members on staff, UWVC is a respected center for teaching and training the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary specialists. Joining these experts are 45 residents, veterinarians who have dedicated their careers to becoming certified in one of 18 specialty areas. Supporting our veterinarians are eight interns, graduate veterinarians who are furthering their education in the treatment of dogs, cats, and special species. Other important members of our team are our senior veterinary students.
Working throughout UWVC are also over 60 certified veterinary technicians, some of whom have completed additional training and testing to specialize in certain areas of care. Diagnostic imaging technicians and certified medical technologists ensure that tests are quickly and accurately performed so they can be analyzed, right on-site, by our specialists.
Leading this team of experts is hospital director Dr. Ruthanne Chun, hospital administrator Mark Oglesbay, and assistant hospital administrator Mr. Steve Wall. Supporting Dr. Chun as chiefs-of-services are Dr. Harry Momont (Large Animal Hospital), Dr. Rebecca Stepien (Small Animal Hospital), and Dr. Karen Young (Diagnostic Services).
We’re proud to work together in our continuing effort to keep animals healthy and happy.
